With the Vision to create a well developed society which can be possible only by fullfledged teachers was realised by the Dr. Zahir Hussain college Society. Under this vision, Dr. Zahir Husain college Society established this Dr. Zakir Husain College of Education to provide Teacher Education to people in and around Ilayangudi in general and downdroden in particular. This College was inagurated on 23rd Sept. 2012 by Honble Tmt. S. GokulaIndira, Ex. Minister for Tourism and Honble. Dr. S. Soundararajan, Ex. Minister for Handloom & Textile in Tamilnadu. This college obtained Recognition and Affiliation from TNTEU and NCTE in 2012 and running successfully for the past 10 years.
